Diagnostics optiques des milieux multiphasiques (DOMM)

Objectifs 

Cette opération de recherche vise à améliorer nos capacités de diagnostic des milieux diphasiques et multiphasiques, à partir de l’étude théorique, numérique et expérimentale des propriétés de diffusion de la lumière des particules présentes dans ces milieux. Nous développons trois axes de recherche: (i) modélisation des propriétés de diffusion de la lumière de différents milieux chargés en particules (poussières, agrégats, gouttes, bulles,  fibres,...), à l'aide de la théorie de Lorenz-Mie et de Debye, l'optique physique et géométrique, la méthode de Monte Carlo,...; (ii) Méthodes originales de caractérisation optique de ces milieux :  spectroscopie d'extinction, diffractométrie hautre résolution et néphélométrie, réfractométrie et granulométrie arc-en-ciel et critique, technique phase Doppler (Dual mode, Dual burst, N-faisceaux, correction des flux, etc.); (iii) Travaux collaboratifs et de valorisation sur des sujets variés : nano fluides et agrégats, suspensions, écoulements à bulles, instabilités hydrodynamiques et fibrage, fluidisation, procédés plasma et tokamaks,... Cette opération de recherche participe à l'activité transverse Diagnostics Optiques. (DO).
